Syllabus Structure of CTET Exam
The syllabus for CTET has been divided into four sections:
Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics and Elementary Education Methods.
Candidates are tested on their teaching skills of various subjects like English
(Reading Comprehension, Grammar and Writing), Hindi (Listening Comprehension
and Reading Comprehension), Environmental Studies (Moral Education), Social
Studies/Social Science (Geography/History) and Mathematics & Numerical
Ability. Test takers can also expect a few multiple-choice questions in these
topics, although they aren’t counted towards a score—you must score 100 percent

CTET Exam Pattern
In general, CTET is held twice a year, once in April and
again in September. The written test lasts two hours and comprises two parts —
Part I (Language Proficiency) and Part II (Mathematics). In Part I, candidates
are required to answer 30 multiple-choice questions based on various aspects of
language proficiency; four questions are of negative marking. In Part II,
candidates need to attempt 50 multiple-choice questions covering arithmetic
skills and elementary mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages,
ratios, etc.; five questions are of negative marking. CTET
